Shuru is helping people become more connected locally by being a location-based community platform where community members can engage with each other through video, audio, and textual chat features.
India has around 800 million smartphone users with 40% coming from the rural areas. A large portion of these users use Google for local searches, with majority converting into a visit. However, individuals and small businesses don’t have any platform to connect with the local masses digitally. Backed by a team with prior experience in scaling social media platforms, Shuru is creating a location-based social network with a focus on user-generated content for hyper-personalization.
